

Born on July 27, 1945, Anne Marie dedicated her life to caring for others. After graduating from St. Martha’s School of Nursing, she embarked on a remarkable 40-year nursing career. Her compassion, skill, and commitment to helping those in need led her to manage a 40-bed psychiatric unit, where she provided care and support to some of society’s most vulnerable individuals.
Anne Marie is lovingly remembered by her children, Patrick (Michelle Irwin) Fitzgerald and Laurie (Greg) Gallant; and by her cherished grandchildren, Grace, Owen, Eddie, Goog, and Josie, who brought immense joy to her life. She was predeceased by her parents Ambrose and Loretta (McLeod) Fitzgerald and brother Ronald Fitzgerald
She lived a full and active life and treasured the many friendships she formed through her skating and swimming groups. These friendships remained a source of happiness and connection throughout the years.
Anne Marie will be remembered for her unwavering generosity, her kind heart, and her ability to make everyone she met feel valued and cared for. Her legacy of compassion, friendship, and service will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Cremation has taken place. At the family’s request a private funeral service will be held.
