Barbara (Drake) McLeod, 89 of Halifax, passed away November 17, 2014, at the QEII Hospital. Born in Bermuda, she was a daughter of the late James and Emily Drake. Barb was first and foremost a loving devoted wife and mother. She loved looking after many children in her home, many of whom still consider her their second mom.
Survived by her loving husband, Melville McLeod; son, Darren (Anne) McLeod, Upper Sackville; sisters, Lillan (Don) Flemming, Dartmouth; Peggy (Neil) Roberts, Bedford; Jackie (Jim) Innis, Mill Lake; granddaughter, Jocelyn McLeod, Calgary. Predeceased by her brother, Raymond Drake.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the J. A. Snow Funeral Home Chapel, 339 Lacewood Drive, (902-455-0531). Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Halifax Stroke Club.
