Barrie Patrick Bellefontaine

February 6, 1951 – January 20, 2023. Barrie Bellefontaine, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2023. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Craig (Celyeste), daughter, Kristin, sister, Marie, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Dale, sister, Margaret Nordoff and parents, John, and Mabel. Barrie was an upbeat and positive character even on the most challenging days. A proud Haligonian, living in Halifax his whole life, he could not understand why anyone would want to live anywhere else. Being an outgoing and gregarious person, he was a friend to many. A teacher often described as “everyone’s favourite”, he touched the lives of many students at Charles P. Allen High School. The Bellefontaine family are thankful for the steady care provided by the kind and capable staff at Parkstone Enhanced Care over the past number of years.
