Bertha Frances Lawrence

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Bertha Lawrence 94 of Hubley on May 20, 2026, at the VG Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Herbert & Loretta (Cleveland) Perry. She was a stay-at-home mother & grandmother for most of her life and worked tirelessly at looking after her family. She was without a doubt the best wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother that God ever created. She will be sadly missed by all of her family & many friends but wonderfully welcomed into the presence of her Lord & Saviour. She is survived by her four children, Deborah (Ray) Crooks, Bill (Suzanne), Bob (Kara), Barbara Lawrence, nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years Bill, daughter Diane Lawrence, granddaughter Dawn Slauenwhite, brothers Art Perry, Victor Perry, sisters Irene Ettinger, Muriel Herritt, & Betty Murphy. Visitation will be held at JA Snows Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax May 25th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Full Gospel Church, 2256 Larry Utech Blvd. Bedford May 26th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Nathan Hill officiating. Burial will take place in the Wm. Black Memorial Cemetery, Glen Margaret. No flowers by request of the family. Donations may be made to the Full Gospel Church or a charity of your choice.
