

WILSON, Bradford F. – 60, of Halifax, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on July 26, 2012 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary site.Born in New Glasgow, N.S., he was a son of the late Fred and Eileen ( Langley) Wilson of Guysborough County, N.S.Brad was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 27 years which afforded him the opportunity to spend time on both the east and the west coast. Brad spent his leisure time fishing, hunting and enjoying the outdoors. Brad’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand and was known as a jack of all trades. Although Brad became a quadriplegic at the age of 53, he reached many goals he had set for himself including returning to university and traveling over seas. His proud family will love and miss him always. Brad is survived by his wife Catherine (Kay) M. Wilson; daughter Holly (Craig) Wilson; son Paul (Jan) Wilson; sisters Romona (Barrie) Rose and Christine (Roger) Weston; brother Fred (Deborah) Wilson; much loved grandchildren Riley, Rosetta and Abbey, and many nieces and nephews.Many thanks to the staff of 8.2 for their understanding and kindness. Also special recognition to the VON who cared for Brad for many years, to the staff of 4B- VG site and the staff at Northwood Manor.Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531 on Monday, July 30th from 6-8pm. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 31st at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Oakridge Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VON (Halifax Branch) or the Rick Hansen (Man in Motion).
