Born in Halifax, Chris was a son of the late Ernest Perry and the late Lorna Soberal (Bottomley)
Chris is survived by his daughter Julie Perry, grandsons Tyler, Taylor and Chad, siblings Debbie Burke, Cindy Burden (Skip), Janice Hallett (Forman), Roddy Perry (Mary), Randy Perry, Darlene Kelsie (Skippy), B.J. Perry (Bev), also his loving mother-in-law Phyllis Hiltz, many cousin, nieces and nephews.
Chris was a life time Blood Donor until till health prevented him from doing so any longer. He loved helping people if need be and all you had to do was ask. In the earlier years he drove for Halifax Transit and then worked for NSLC, retiring after 28 years due to ill health.
He was a member of the Resolute Club and loved being on the entertainment committee.
Summertime favorites were fishing and getting everyone together at the Dingle for BBQ and party where he would take the kids for rides in his boat.
The later years were spent camping with his wife Eileen at Beech Brook Campground where they were usually surrounded by their daughters and grandsons.
Besides his parents, Chris is predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years Eileen Perry (Hiltz), beautiful daughter Tina Brown and his best bud Oran McInnis (Oreo)
Special heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Team and his special P.C.R.N. nurse Cindy who lovingly looked after him from home.
No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris’ name to Nova Scotia Mental Health Association.
I go now where there is no pain.
Let only smiles and memories remain.
