Colleen, a dear friend to all of us, and there were many.  She didn't have clients or acquaintances, they were friends,family.  She supported us in many ways, she listened without judgement and loved unconditionally.  She's a force of nature, her magnetic energy drew us in and kept us close.  Her smile, laugh, humour, kindness was absolutely beautiful and she loved us unconditionally.  She was smart and witty,  sometimes mischievous...  
She loved art, music and especially dancing.  Her taste was impeccable, and it showed.  She loved supporting local artists and was a patron of the arts.  
She loved good food, company and adventures.,  Chai latte, Pepsi, tiger tail ice cream, sushi,lobster rolls were on her top list of favorites.  
She lived life to the fullest and was always authentic .  There was always a sparkle in her eyes paired with a mischievous grin at times.  Her playfulness had a way of bringing people along in adventures and sometimes they were people she'd just met.  She spread magic everywhere, especially when you were sitting in her chair.  She truly was a scissor wizard.  She didn't only give us great haircuts, she reflected her beauty into us, leaving us feeling happy and loved.  
We all love you Colleen, your presence has made us better people.  Your strength and power go beyond words.....
We will miss you and never forget you.  Queen of Agricola, Loki, Colleena, Lady, Bestie, Sister......

My deepest sympathy to Colleen’s Family, I wish you all the strength to deal with your loss.  I have been a client of Colleen’s over 10 years.  
Always a warm welcome to Colleen’s with Buddy, and Colleen always calling out my name.  I just saw Colleen 2 weeks ago and this news is such a shock.  
We had such wonderful conversations about places we wanted to travel, and new spots to eat.

C olleen was a special girl, full of generosity and compassion.    We shared a love o f NS seafood  especially clams and chips...She always  made time for us when we  visited .  I will miss her.......

She was my hairdresser for Almost thirty years and she was a friend
I loved her, her apartment her dog and the bossy cat(not so much)

I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Colleen.  I have been friends with Colleen since before she moved to the North End of Halifax and she has been a real strong and loved figure in the tapestry of the North end community - a friend to so many and a respected artist of all things hair.  I adopted her dear Echo a couple of weeks ago and she was happy about Echo going to a good home.  We are taking good care of her and I think of Colleen and am honoured to be able to care for her little one and provide a loving home.

Colleen was an epic hairstylist who quickly became a special family friend over 30 years ago. She cheered us on as our families grew and she always had such belly laughs at many of the antics and stories. She kept the most important secrets of upcoming babies and engagements and each appointment and visit were the updates of what was new and what was happening next. To know her was to love her and we always felt loved right back. Our loss feels so incredibly personal so I can’t even imagine how each family member is feeling and grieving at this time. Please know that you are etched in our hearts and we are praying for you all. I feel like we know some of you from the sharing of stories so I know that your loss is incredibly deep. To the Family and Fellow Friends of Colleen ….I am so sorry for your loss. I count myself very lucky to have had Colleen as my immediate neighbour for the past 20 plus years. As a lifelong landlord I have had many neighbours over the years and know how valuable a good neighbour can be and Colleen was the Best! Kind, Witty and always up for an interesting chat… and she always looked out for me as the good neighbour she was! Even on the days I didn’t see Colleen I would often see people leaving her studio looking their best and having a spring in their step which also uplifted me. She brought such joy to so many. Her joyful presence will be greatly missed in the neighbourhood. Rest in Peace Colleen (in your heavenly beach 🏖️ chair).

Colleen was my hair stylist (aka unofficial therapist ) for many years and I always left her place feeling uplifted, as she had a great sense of humor and a wise way of looking at the world; plus she was a killer stylist   Colleen was a creative, talented, interesting, fun person and we will miss her very much . Colleen was a remarkably inventive hair designer. My excitement in going for a hair cut was not only 'what will she do this time?' but after a decade of visits, simply a happiness that I was going to see Colleen. She was so loving and loveable. Funny, kind, sweet as anything with the best comical observations. I will miss this beautiful person and it hurts to know she's gone. Her many friends will miss her deeply.

I was shocked and very saddened to learn of Colleen’s passing. She took care of me and my hair for more than 10 years. I will miss her a lot. 
She was a very compassionate person. One time, during Covid I found out my daughter could not go to PEI for a wedding because she had been exposed to Covid. She was supposed to be a bridesmaid and was making the wedding cake. I received this news when Colleen was doing my hair. I could not stop crying. Colleen was so dear, understanding and confirmed my profound respect for Colleen.
We spent alot of time talking about family. She loved you so much. You have my deep sympathies and know how much you will miss her especially at Christmas which was such a special time for her in every way.
