Dennis was a true professional who clearly loved what he did. His knowledge, dedication, and passion for his work were evident in every interaction. No matter the question, Dennis always seemed to have the answer, and he shared his expertise willingly with those around him. Beyond his wealth of knowledge, he had a remarkable ability to connect with people. He always had a story to tell, a lesson to share, or a smile that made every conversation memorable.
What stood out most was his deep commitment to family. Dennis spoke proudly of those he loved, and it was clear that family was at the center of everything he did. His warmth, character, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Dennis's presence will be greatly missed, but the impact he made through his work, friendships, and dedication to his family will not be forgotten.

To Dennis's family, I want to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to you. 

I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing which came suddenly. I always enjoyed talking with him during his visits at the Shipyard, always seeing a familiar face among the sea of others. Losing a family member is never easy, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. 

He will be greatly missed, please take care of yourselves and always remember the good times shared with one another, those can never be replaced, and will get you through this difficult time.

Every time Dennis walked into our security office, he brought sunshine with him. Even on the days I was feeling awful, Dennis managed to make me (and all of us!) smile brightly. Cracking jokes, telling us about his wonderful travels, and sharing how proud he was of his children are all things Dennis would do. I will always remember him beaming when talking about his sons. 
There are no words to describe this loss. 
To Dennis’ family: I am so sorry. You are in my heart and prayers. I hope every wonderful memory brings you comfort in the days ahead.

Uncle Dennis had a larger-than-life personality. He approached life with enthusiasm, humor, and a mischievous twinkle in his eye. His jovial nature, his constant smirk, and his ability to make people laugh are things I will carry with me forever and one that truly stuck out as a child who thought most adults were grumpy! He had a gift for turning everyday ordinary moments into unforgettable memories that I will take with me in this lifetime. 
Some of my fondest memories are of the simple things he taught me, like how to whistle . Another memory that always makes me smile is the day I sprayed his dad, Bobby, with a garden hose and then hid in their linen closet to avoid the consequences, grabbing the portable phone on the way there so I could call for back-up. Within minutes Uncle Dennis swooped in to the rescue! 
He made childhood brighter simply by being part of it. The laughter, adventures, and love he shared  left an imprint that will stay forever. I will always be grateful for the role he played in shaping those formative years.
My deepest condolences to everyone in the family, and especially to Becky, Mark, and Matt. I wish I were closer to all of you during this difficult time. Losing Dennis is a tremendous loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

it was a pleasure to work with Dennis; from the first time I met him I knew he was one of those rare people who could talk to anyone, find common ground, make you feel at home and welcome.
Every time we spoke on the phone Dennis would start the conversation with "Christine my darlin",  

He was a great Fire Alarm Technician and cared about his work deeply.  Life safety wasn't just a catch phrase; it truly meant something to Dennis.  

We will miss Dennis terribly; Dennis wasn't just a coworker he was a friend.

My deepest sympathy is extended to all who knew and loved Dennis.

I was shocked and saddened  to hear of Dennis’ passing.  I was grateful we had the opportunity  to work with one another again  at Chandler sales. We always had stories to share with one another, he always made me laugh.
Dennis had a passion for the fire alarm industry and his clients who trusted him impeccably.
 He was not only respected by his fellow fire alarm team members but also senior management within Chandler.

Our deepest condolences  during these difficult times.  When Blair told me of Dennis passing away I was shocked and saddened. Although I didn’t spend a lot of time with him , our trip to the Canadian Open in Ontario produced a lot a great memories. Anyone who met Dennis and spent time with him knew they had a friend for life. During these very difficult times, try to reflect on the great memories created over the years.

I worked with Dennis for a couple years at KD Pratt.  We got along good and shared life’s experiences.  I know he loved his family and was very into his boys sports. Big time! When his father died, it tore him up. I know he’s with him now.  So fly high brother! Everyone’s really going to miss you!

I worked with Dennis at Chandler and always enjoyed and marveled at what he could squeeze out of a day! He was a great one for reducing 'garbage' and recycling parts and spent many of our conversations telling me about his family. He was always telling me about his boys latest achievements and previous achievements and future plans and so on and on...... He could hold a conversation for sure! 
The Dartmouth Branch is quieter and lesser for his absence and he will be remembered with huge affection by all that worked with him.  He will be missed and I send my greatest sympathies to his family for an all too early loss. He was a great guy and it was a pleasure to have known him.

My condolences to the family. I’ve worked with Dennis at the Halifax shipyard for a couple years now and while working in security he would come in often and work on our panels. He would always share stories about his sons achievements and his life, he was always a joy to be around and lifted everyone’s spirits. I will miss him dearly, rest in peace Dennis - Autumn

Oh Cecil! Most of the stories I could tell about our younger years probably wouldn’t be appropriate here. I regret not making an effort to spend more time together over the years. I will always remember you as a loyal friend and someone who always had your back. You will be missed amigo.

I had the privilege of working with Dennis during his years as a fire alarm technician. He always put the customer first, greeting people with a caring smile and an eagerness to have a conversation. Dennis had a genuine appreciation for life, and he spoke so fondly of his wife and his boys. He was always curious, always willing to try an idea, and always ready to share a thought or a story.

The last time we spoke was about the logistics of some of his collectibles. I remember the excitement he had about the possibility of finally showing me what he had collected over the years. That excitement was so genuine, and it makes it feel especially strange to know that we will never get to finish that conversation.

Dennis was someone who clearly loved the people and things that mattered to him. His family, his work, sports, collecting, and simply having a good conversation all seemed to bring him joy. It was a privilege to have known him and to have shared a small part of his journey.

My thoughts, prayers, and every blessing go out to Becky, Mark, Matt, and the entire Hamlin family during this difficult time.

There is a strange truth in grief: the depth of our grief is often a reflection of the depth of our love. We grieve because someone mattered. We grieve because they brought something into our lives that cannot simply be replaced.

May Dennis rest in peace, and may those who loved him be surrounded by comfort, strength, and the memories of a life well lived.
