Donald James Mason

When we sit down to Sunday Dinner this week the chair at the head of our table will be empty as we sadly announce the passing of Don Mason, a much loved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great- Grandfather. Don was born on Christmas Day 1945 to Christina (Doeherty) and Harold (Dutchie) Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa, daughter, Charlana (Richard), granddaughter, Christina (C.C.) (Austin), Grandson, Robert Thomas and step-granddaughters Leanne and Rebecca and great-granddaughter, Eleanor Victoria. He is also survived by sister, Patsy Gillis, sisters-in-law, Mona Mason and Yati Mason, brother-in-law, Ron Rose and nieces and nephews. Besides his Parents he was predeceased by brothers Harold (Corky), and Robert and sisters, Shirley and Eleanor, brother-in-laws, Bennie Miller and Donnie Gillis and nephew, Kevin Miller. He will also be sadly missed by his buddies, Luna, Marshall, Bear and Bruiser. Donnie loved spending time with his grandchildren and we were so happy that he was able to meet and hold his new great-granddaughter, Eleanor.
