Dong Jun "Dj" Lee

December 25, 1966 – August 1, 2022

Dong Jun “DJ” Lee, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, aged 55, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 1, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Jung Won Min, daughter, Jung Min Lee, and son, Jung Woo Lee. He is also survived by his parents, sister, brother and many nieces and nephews.

He was born and grew up in South Korea, where he met and married the love of his life. He came to Canada with his wife and two children and settled in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2006.

He worked as a sushi chef in Canada and took great pride and very much enjoyed cooking for anyone and felt tremendous happiness and joy when people enjoyed his food and cooking.

A huge lover of baseball, he was a big long-time fan of the Samsung Lions baseball team.

Scared of dogs initially, he had a change of heart when his family adopted a miniature schnauzer, “Kong” in 2008. He will be happily greeted by Kong, his first and only dog, whom he loved and cherished to the moon and back, who crossed the rainbow bridge last year.

He also enjoyed and very often visited and took a walk at Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg. He was also a member of the congregation at Saint Benedict Parish.

Loved by all those who knew him for his kindness, fun-loving, playful, and easy-going nature, he was very humble with a smile for everyone. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, between 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at JA Snow Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at date and location to be determined in the future.
