Doris Marie Howard

HOWARD, Doris Marie – 65, of Hubbards, N.S. passed away December 12, 2011 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Comeauville, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Ulysse and Evelyn Melanson. She worked at Twin City Dairy for 36 years and was a member of the Chief and Po’s Ladies Dart League for 1 year, and really enjoyed her evenings out. Doris loved all animals, especially her cats Rudy and Jo-Jo. She never missed a family get-together and loved being surrounded by family and friends.

Doris is survived by sons: Jim (Karen) Howard and John (Chiyoko) Devenne; sisters: Bernice (Ron), May (Bob), Myrtle, Eleanor (Sherman); brothers: Larry (Kathy) and Allen (Sandra); two grandchildren: Katherine and Kyler; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband James William and brothers-in-law Larry and Frank. Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531 on Wednesday, December 14th from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 16th at 11:00am.
