Elizabeth Grace Fleck

FLECK, Elizabeth Grace (MacDonald) - Halifax and Middle Stewiacke, Nova Scotia – passed away at the QEII Health Sciences Centre – Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building in Halifax on Friday September 12, 2025 at the age of 84. Born July 24, 1941 in Stillwater, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Barbara (Archibald) MacDonald.

Elizabeth attended St. Mary’s Rural High School in Sherbrooke, NS, eventually training and working part time as a Lab Technician at Camp Hill Hospital and the Pathology Lab in Halifax. She was an avid bowler, playing in leagues into her 70s primarily at Bowlarama in Fairview, and always enjoyed the challenges of doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles in her spare time.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Logan, sons and daughters-in-law Steven and Linda Fleck, Scott and Kimberly Fleck, grandchildren Andrew, Kathryn and Evan Fleck, great-grandchildren Henry and Charlie Lewis, sisters Patricia Waugh, Judy Boudreau, Diane Allen (David Keefe), brother David MacDonald (Jacky Snyder), brothers-in-law Owen Smith and Peter Fleck (Dianne Mantle), sister-in-law Jean Chapman and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her sister Ruth Smith, brothers-in-law Cyril Fleck, Russell (Betty) Fleck, Leslie Fleck, Robert Boudreau, sister-in-law Frances (Harold) Harnish, niece Tanda Dinan, nephews Ronald Harnish and Barry Fleck.

The family would like to thank the staff at the QEII Health Sciences Centre – Halifax Infirmary: Unit 8.3 and Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building: Unit 3 East for their care over the past seven weeks.

Arrangements are entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. The body will be cremated and ashes interred in the Middle Stewiacke Cemetery, Middle Stewiacke, Colchester Co., Nova Scotia. By request of the family there will be no visitation. A graveside service for family will be held Sunday, September 28 at 1 PM.
