

She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Ralph and Selina (Myers) MacCaull. She will be missed by her loving husband, Douglas, of 51 years; her children, Deidre (Darryl) Nodwell, Debbie (Mark) Blakeney and Daniel; her grandchildren, Emilee, Kate, Owen, Matthew and Ryan; her sister, Edith Nicholson, Charlottetown PEI; and the rest of her extended family.
Originally from Carleton Siding, PEI, as a teenager she moved with her family to Nova Scotia. She followed her dream and trained as a nurse at the Victoria General School of Nursing, graduating in 1965. She worked at Centennial 6B, Tumor Clinic, Keddy’s Nursing Home, and We Care Home Nursing while raising 3 children. She enjoyed meeting with her nursing classmates, especially at class reunions, attending the 50th in 2015.
She was a member of St. Andrews United Church and a life member of The United Church Women. She was a member of the choir and many other activities in the life of the church including, for many years, co-convenor of the church fall sale craft table.
She was a family person enjoying Christmas with her sister Edith and her family, and summers always included time spent with family at Cavendish PEI. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends on cruises and tours visiting exotic places and shops.
Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., 5-8 pm Tuesday 28 August 2018. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday Aug 29 at 2 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church, corner of Coburg & Robie Streets.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Andrew’s United Church or Central Zone Integrated Palliative Care Service.
