Ella Mary Fox

Ella Mary Fox, of Northwood Gottingen Street, Halifax passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on September 15, 2013, at the QEII Health Science Centre. Born in St Alphonse, Digby County, she was the daughter of the late Melbourn Maillet and Marie (Burridge). Survived by brothers, Gerald (Ontario), Ernest (New Jersey); nephew, Danny Gaudet (Julia) Westport; niece, Donna Marie Gaudet, Saulnierville and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Burkley “Burt” Fox; sisters Laura, New Jersey, Fedora, St. Alphonse. Funeral service will be held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 2267 Brunswick St, on Friday, September 20 at 10:30 am, with no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. A. Snow Funeral Home, Halifax (455-0531). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St, Patrick’s Catholic Church. The family deeply appreciates the care and consideration provided to Ella during the last three months by the nurses and Doctors of ward 8.4, QEII during her short but courageous battle with cancer.
