Ervin Francis Charlton

Ervin Francis Charlton, 78 - It is with heavy hearts we announce his peaceful passing with his family by his side, on March 28th, 2011 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Halifax, a well respected businessman who owned Charlton Flooring Ltd in Fairview for 50 years, was a son of the late Fred & Mae (Slaunwhite) Charlton. He was a past president of the Atlantic Floorcovering Association & known for his humility & kindness. Ervin was the standard of honesty & integrity in dealing with family & customers & will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He loved life & the time at the cottage with family & friends, spending hours with grandchildren showing his great patience. Ervin is survived by his loving & faithful wife of 51 years Jacqueline [Revert], daughter Michele [Ron] Munden, son Kevin, daughter Lisa “Nikki” daughter-in-law Lisa Burchell, Four grandchildren, a great grandson, niece Maryline Revert & several special nieces & nephews, brother’s Reg [Marguerite] & Ron, sister’s Helen [Skit] Ferguson & Evelyn [Ed] Comfort & sister in law Betty. He was predeceased by infant sister Madeline, brother’s Cyril, Donald [Chick] & Ken. The family is forever grateful to all the staff at the QEII & Abbey Lane who cared tirelessly & showed much compassion. Visitation at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531 from 2-4 & 6-8 on Thursday, March 31st. Funeral to be held at Saint Benedict Parish on 45 Radcliffe Dr., at 10:30 am Friday, April 1st .
