Born in Bayport, NS, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Victoria Colp.
Vangie worked for 25 years as a secretary with the Halifax Regional School Board. She was known to all for her generosity of spirit, her quiet and gentle demeanor, and self-effacing good nature. Her love of knitting enabled her to produce countless donations to needy hospital patients.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra (Dennis) Malchuck, St. Albert, Alberta; Son, David (Debbie) Spindler, Halifax, NS; four grandchildren Gregory, Lauren, Kyle (Erin) and Colin (Danielle); Great grandson, Reid and brother Ray Colp, Halifax NS.
She was predeceased by her husband; Bruce, brother; Borden; sisters, Evelyn and Freida.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 4 at 2pm in the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Windsor Street, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
