Mrs. Evelyn Mae Kennedy

Born in Lower Greenville, Colchester Co. she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Waneta (Hardy) Teed.

Evelyn worked at Canada Post District Office for many years in Personnel until retirement. Evelyn and her belated husband Gerry volunteered their time with the Silver and Gold Club, the 50 Plus Club and community based program on TV (Shaw Cable) in Lower Sackville. She loved to be swimming enjoying the water. She was a devoted mother who loved her family to the fullest. She lived to read, she always had a book in her hand.

Evelyn is survived by daughters Sandra (Ken) Stevens, Calgary, Deborah (Barry Collier) Creaser, Halifax; one granddaughter Angela (Kurt) Elder; two great-granddaughters Breanna and Alexis, Unity Saskatchewan; special nephew Joe Kennedy, Ontario; brothers Donald (Louise) Teed, Truro, nephews Donald (Val) and family, Douglas (Joan) and family. As well as her parents Cecil and Waneta Teed, she was predeceased by husband Gerry.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 16 at 11:00am in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531. Interment in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
