Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Floss) Macdougall.
Florence worked in communications at HMC Dockyard for over 40 years. She was a supervisor in Tape Relay. She was the past president of the Communicator Alumni.
She was also a Girl Guide Leader for the 2nd Spryfield Guides.
Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by husband William (Bill); her brother Gordon, and great nephew Kevin Moggy.
She is survived by her niece Beverley (Bob) Moggy of Kingston, NS; great niece, Janice (Brad) Wilken of Ontario; great-great niece Tara Wilken and great-great nephews Connor Wilken, Alex and Steven Moggy.
Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS, on Tuesday, October 28 from 6-8 pm and service will take place Wednesday, October 29th at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
