Frank Douglas DeMone

He was the son of the late Frank and Gertrude DeMone.

He is survived by his devoted and adoring wife of 64 years, Shirley DeMone; his only son, Gary (N.B); daughters, Brenda (Jerome Peters) and Bev (Frank Bishop) and sister, Katherine of Halifax.

He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Sandra (Derek Stafford); son-in-law, Frank Bishop; brothers, William and Charles and sister, Dorothy.

He served 35 years as a firefighter for the Halifax Regional Fire Dept. before retiring in June, 1992. He also worked tirelessly as an armored guard for Brinks Canada when he finally retired in 2013 at the age of 81.

He was a loving grandfather to Sean, Kristy, Jillian, Courtney, Ryan and Chantel and great grandfather to Madison, Ella, Emma, Riley, Jordan and Briauna.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1pm. Reception to follow with burial at Oakridge cemetery.
