Gay Miriam Conrad-Bagg

It is with great sadness that the family of Gay Conrad-Bagg announces her passing on May 21, 2022 at the palliative care unit of the Victoria General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Gay was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on December 11, 1956. After graduating from Sir John A. MacDonald High School, Gay received a Certificate in Early Childhood Development at Mount Saint Vincent University. Gay worked at Maritime Tel & Tel in Halifax before moving to Winnipeg and working at Manitoba Telecom Services as a Business Services Representative. Gay returned to Halifax to work again at MTT and later with the Province of Nova Scotia until retirement in December 2012. Gay also received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax while continuing to work full time. Gay was predeceased by her husband, D. Robert (Bob) Bagg and her mother, Lorraine C. Conrad. Gay is survived by Bob’s daughter, Leslie Bagg (Phil Bergeron-Burns and their children Avery and Torin). Gay is also survived by her father Ralph Conrad (Shirley) of Head of St. Margaret’s Bay; sister Cheryl Tilley (Stephen) of Orleans, Ontario; brothers Grant Conrad of Kempt Shore, NS and John Conrad of Halifax, NS; and nieces, nephews and their children. There is no visitation or service at this time. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery at a later date under the direction of J.A. Snow Funeral Home.
