DERRICK (Bandura), Genia "Jennie" —Halifax, died on April 6, 2010. Born on January 10, 1945, in Montreal, Que., she was the second daughter of Peter and Emilia Bandura (both deceased). Surviving her are her husband, Michael of 40 years; her sisters, Annie Bandura, Sophie Krawczyk (Henry) and nephew, John, all of Montreal. Visitation and prayers will be said on Thursday, April 8, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Funeral mass will be held Friday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Lawrence Church on Dutch Village Road, Father B. O'Neill celebrating. Genia will be cremated and her ashes will be buried at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an animal charity of choice (Bide Awhile, Hope for Wildlife Society (Hope Swinimer), and World Wildlife Fund).
