She was the daughter of Earl and Irene Young. Glenda is survived by her husband Ron of 53 years, sons Ron, David (Jenna), Brian (Angel), Jay (Rachael), grandchildren Asa, Emmy, Ethan, and one more on his way in September, sister Lana McEachern, nieces Laura, Shauna and nephew Steven. Glenda, affectionately referred to as Nermie by her grandchildren, was the quintessential mother. Eternally loving and selfless, her family was everything for her. She wore out an Olds Vista Cruiser and four minivans driving her boys and their friends anywhere they wanted She often said "when the school bus comes, I never know how many kids are coming» but she always had cookies. Glenda spent the final days of her life with her loving family. She passed peacefully in her sleep. Her family wishes to thank all the healthcare professionals and workers, and her loving sister Lana who assisted Glenda in her journey. Glenda is in the care of JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax. There will be a celebration of life on June 20, 2026 at 10am held at JA Snow Funeral Home
