With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Lorraine Sullivan (Cole), 93, who passed away on Nov. 17, 2025. She was born in Halifax on Dec. 11, 1931 and was the daughter of the late William and Sadie Cole.
Gloria was a devoted wife to John for 63 years as well as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She was also a compassionate caregiver for her mother-in-law Margaret Sullivan.
Her constant laughter, cheerful easy-going attitude and sudden outbursts of dancing around the house whether there was music playing or not, will never be forgotten. Gloria worked at Simpson-Sears but devoted most of her time raising her four children. Some of her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, ceramic painting and she loved bowling. She was also a member of the Catholic Church Carmelite Order for years.
Gloria is survived by her children William (Susan), Pauline (Ron), John (June) and Jamie (Eleanor). She is also survived by grandchildren Jimmie, Sara, Danny, Shawn, Ryan, Emily, Andrew, Jessica, Amanda and James, great-grandchildren Blake, Bryce, Della, Landon, Lincoln, August and Delaney and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents William and Sadie Cole, brothers Robert, Gerald, Ronald and sisters Marjorie and Joan.
Our family would like to thank all the medical professionals who provided the care Gloria required over the past year and especially to express our sincere gratitude to the Nurse Practitioner at West Bedford Transitional Health who showed her dedication for and commitment to all of Gloria's medical needs.
