Born and raised in Middle Musquodoboit, Greg grew up as the second youngest in a busy family of nine sisters and three brothers.
Dairy farming was a way of life for Greg on the generational family farm where he grew up. Eventually he and wife Nancy, took on the challenges of growing the farm business. Dedication, hard work ethics, and a “get it done” attitude, expanded the farm and it flourished. Gregs children Jasmine and Vance were the apple of his eye, they completed his family. Love for his children shone with moments of joy, sharing his pride when Jasmine won a 4H ribbon for horse riding and completing her educational goals. Vance working in the barn with the large cattle herd and cropping with John Deere machinery. Life was full he loved his family, and his farm life.
A man of few words, Greg expressed himself with a dry sense of humour, naturally endearing him to his family, friends and community.
Retirement came early for Greg with the onset of Parkinson’s disease. Though the disease came with many challenges, Greg courageously continued to make the most of his time and was able to do some traveling to the Caribbean and Europe with dear friends.
