

JOLLIMORE, Herman William – 78, Halifax. It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our Dad , Puppy, and Great Grandfather. Dad died Thursday, March 17th, 2011 in the Halifax Infirmary after a brief battle with cancer. Educated at QEH in Halifax, he went on to join the Canadian Air Force in 1951, serving 25 years. Next, he worked in the Insurance business, eventually running his own company, Jollimore –Rodgers Insurance. From a young age Dad was always involved in sports, holding the position of Referee-in Chief of N.S., and Umpire-in Chief for many years. He truly enjoyed his vacation home in Lakeland, Florida, and his summer cottage on Cockscombe Lake. Dad was the son of, the late Herman and Evelyn (Desgranges) Jollimore. Predeceased by his wife, MaryLou; Sisters – Gwen, Betty, Dot, and Brothers - Keith, Norm, and Blaine. Survived by Daughters, Donna ( Randy ) Webb, Debert; Cathy ( Paul ) Smith; Wendy Mooney; son, Greg (Joleen) Mooney, all from Halifax; and Sandra (Pascal) Boyer, Quebec. Grandchildren; Michelle (Steven) Whooten, Mark (Michelle) Webb, Scott (Sarah) Smith, Stephani (Ryan) Mitchell, Oriana, Amber, Chase Mooney, and Alexandre, Gabriel and Kaelan Boyer; and Great Granddaughters ; Allison and Caitlin Whooten; Brothers; Ray (Liz); Frank (Rae); Sisters, Helen MacAvoy; Sandra Brine; close nephew; Ray (Jr.) Jollimore, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-4:00pm, Sunday, March 20th, with the Funeral Service at 11:00am, Monday, March 21st , all from J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Rev. Debbie Aitken officiating. Private Family Burial will be scheduled at a later date.
