

Jim was born February 20, 1944 in Yarmouth Nova Scotia. Jim was a loving son of the late Amos and Bernadine (D’Entremont) LeBlanc. With his infectious smile and warm heart, he quickly won the hearts of everyone he met. Jim's journey through life was made complete when he met and married his wife Arlene Barron.
Jim leaves behind two children. Derek LeBlanc (Ottawa) and Heather LeBlanc (Tatamagouche) and Grandson
Cameron (Centreville). He is also mourned by his sister, Joanne LeBlanc. (Richard Graves)
Jim was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Degerness, brother Douglas LeBlanc, and infant sister Rita LeBlanc.
Education played a significant role in Jim's life, and he excelled academically, graduating from Yarmouth Memorial High School. Jim loved working for CN Telecommunications and prompted him to continued his studies at Saint Mary’s where he won the Governor’s General award. Jim then graduated from Nova Scotia Technical College (Dal Tech), where he developed the knowledge and skills that would shape his successful career as an Electrical Engineer for MT&T, now known as Bell Aliant. Jim's dedication and expertise were invaluable to his colleagues, leaving behind a lasting impact on the field.
Jim enjoyed the company of friends and family. He was an excellent cook and known for the Acadian dish Rappie pie. As he would say, “Dat’s the very best”
One of his pleasures in life was a great golf game, and exploring destinations around the world. His favourites being Florida in April and Europe in the fall.
Jim faced many challenges in his life, but he always tackled them with determination and courage. His battle with ALS was no different, as he remained strong and positive until the very end. His unwavering spirit and resilience will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to witness his incredible journey.
The family would like to place a special thanks to all the professionals at the ALS society New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, for all their assistance and their equipment loan program.

Jim was a faithful Parishioner of St Benedict Parish of Halifax. His commitment to his faith was unbendable.

Visitation will be held at J.A Snows Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Tuesday October 17, 2023 6-8pm
Wednesday October 18, 2023 5-8pm.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday October 19, 2023 at 12:15pm at St Benedict Parish with Father Simon Lobo officiating. Graveside committal immediately following the service.
In Lieu of flowers Donations may be made to ALS Society Of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
