James Stephen Raymond Sherwood

Jim passed away peacefully at home March 6, 2018. Jim was born November 18, 1928 at Lakeville, Carlton Co. NB, to parents Ora and Flora (Crandlemire) Sherwood. Jim had a rewarding career with the Bank of Montreal for 38 years, starting in small town New Brunswick, moving through Ontario, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and finally Main Branch in Halifax. He had a long retirement in Halifax enjoying travel, fishing, spending time at the cottage in PEI and entertaining family and friends.

Survived by his wife, Margaret (Meg) Sherwood; children, Gary (Angelique) Sherwood, Nancy (John) O’Brien, Karen Sherwood (Dan O’Brien) and Scott (Leora) Sherwood; stepchildren, Lindsey (Dale) Buchanan, Dr Holly Muir (Dr Ron Olson), Stuart (Valerie) Muir and Joanne Muir; seventeen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and niece, Orpah (Wayne) Perkins. Predeceased by his parents and first wife, Mary Jean McPhail, and sister, Irene Rosevear.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 10 from 2-4 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive. Burial at a later date in Avondale, NB.
