Born on June 22, 1960, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Janice was the cherished daughter of the late Loretta and Ambrose Gerrior.
Janice is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nicole (Nick) Turnbull; her son, Kyle (Amber) Fader; and her adored grandsons, Karter Fader and Kip Turnbull, who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Glen (Kathy) Gerrior, Bruce (Dale) Gerrior, and Bernice (Chris) Gerrior. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Gerrior. Janice will also be fondly remembered by her extended family and many dear friends whose lives were touched by her love of life.
She dedicated 30 years of her career to Bell Aliant, where she worked in a variety of customer service roles. Following her retirement from Bell Aliant, she spent eight years working in property management before officially retiring to enjoy more time with family and friends.
Janice will be remembered as a strong, fierce, and independent woman. She faced life's challenges with determination and resilience, and her greatest love was reserved for her grandsons. She also enjoyed travelling the world with friends, shopping and spa adventures with her daughter, and life's simple pleasures, a Starbucks chai latte.
Though her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, her memory will live on through the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 30, at 10:00 a.m. at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
