It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jordan Philip Bradfield, on May 14, 2026, in Bedford, Nova Scotia, at the age of 29.
Born on August 15, 1996, in Bridgewater, Jordan was the cherished and deeply loved son of Philip and Judy (Winfield) Bradfield. Raised in Newcombville, Jordan grew into a kind-hearted, intelligent, and compassionate young man whose quiet strength and warm spirit touched everyone who knew him.
Jordan graduated from Park View Education Centre and later attended Nova Scotia Community College IT Campus, where he graduated with Honours in 2017 with a Diploma in Information Technology – Database Administration. He built a successful and respected career with the IBM FutureNow Centre in Bedford (formerly the Client Innovation Centre), where over the past nine years he held positions including Senior Manager, Technical Lead, and Full Stack Developer. Jordan was admired for his dedication, leadership, intelligence, and willingness to help others succeed.
Outside of his career, Jordan embraced life fully and passionately. He so enjoyed family get togethers and loved spending time at the family cottage on Ponhook Lake. Whether fishing, golfing, bowling, riding his motorbike, listening to music, gaming with lifelong friends, cheering on his favourite hockey teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Halifax Mooseheads, or pursuing his passion for physical fitness, Jordan found joy in the simple moments spent with the people he loved.
Jordan had a gift for maintaining close friendships. Even when life became busy and visits were less frequent, he always stayed connected with friends through messages, calls, and online PlayStation gaming sessions that kept their bonds strong through the years.
Jordan had a deep and abiding faith in God. He was a member of Nova Church in Bedford and lived his life with kindness, humility, generosity, and compassion toward others. He believed strongly in helping those less fortunate and quietly lived out his faith through acts of love and encouragement.
Jordan was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Stephen and Margaret Winfield; paternal grandfather, Patrick Bradfield; Aunts, Teresa and Deby Bradfield; and his Uncle, Ronnie Bradfield.
Besides his loving parents, Jordan leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Wanda and Fred Rose; aunts and uncles, Darlene and Stephen Rennehan, Ruth and Robert Scott, and Jane and Lawrence Brannen; cousins, Alicia Scott, Ashley Rennehan, and Richard Rennehan; and Alicia’s children, Ethan Chetwynd and Landen Chetwynd, along with many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him.
Visitation with family will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2 p.m., at the JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
Donations in Jordan’s memory may be made to Nova Church, homeless shelters, or a charity of choice. Jordan always believed in helping those in need and making a difference in the lives of others.
One of Jordan’s favourite Bible verses that he frequently quoted was Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (KJV)
A Poem for Jordan: Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, Our faith will see us through, For Heaven gained an angel, The day God welcomed you, Forever loved, forever near, A treasured son so very dear, And while we mourn, we still will see, Your love lives on eternally.
Rest peacefully our dear, precious Jordan.
You will be loved, remembered, and missed beyond words. Until we are together again in Heaven, Mom and Dad
