Kemball, Josephine Agnes -age 87 of Halifax. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine (Josie) Kemball. Her journey with dementia is now over. She lived a full life and touched many people’s lives. She was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Sullivan. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward (Ted). She is survived by her son, Ernie (Edna), Halifax and brother-in-law, Ken (Claudette) Fowler, California.
Josie worked in the Dockyard’s Chart Depot until her retirement and then joined Ted with External Affairs for an assignment in Prague, Czech Republic. It was there where they met and maintained many friends from other countries.
She was Ted’s care keeper for several years and after his passing she developed health issues that impacted her quality of life and outlook. Over three years ago, she began her journey with dementia.
She enjoyed her trips to Bangor, crafts, knitting and cooking-even more she enjoyed sharing the things that she made.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional service provided by both Oceanview (Skyview) and Parkstone (Mount Lane) especially the staff who were there with her over the last few days.
A special thank you to Diane and Gary Sutherland who were like family to her and provided support to her and her family when needed.
As per her wishes, cremation will take place and a private service will be held. Memorial donations in memory of Josie may be made to Hope Cottage.
