Judith Gail Sinclair (Pellow), 68, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on January 10th with her daughter, by her side. Judy was born to wonderful parents, the late Marion and Albert Pellow, and loving sister Carol in Halifax on August 28th, 1954. Growing up in Halifax she attended Bloomfield and Queen Elizabeth High School. She spent many years working for the County of Halifax and then finished her career at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist.
During her younger years Judy was active in Trinity Anglican Church, St John’s Anglican church, and the YMCA. She was always surrounded by friends and family during the many trips to visit family in Black Point, Nova Scotia. Some of her fondest memories were of those times in her life. She became a loving aunt, as the years passed, to her nieces and nephew whom she loved dearly and cherished until the end. She married and had her daughter, Jennifer in her early twenties and began her adult life of hard work, selflessness, and determination.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Dan), Grandchildren, Kerri and Alex, Sister, Carol, nieces Kathy, Debbie, Wendy and Heather, nephew Donnie and many cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert, and Marion Pellow (West), brother-in-law Donald Paull, and many aunts and uncles.
Judy was a strong dedicated fiercely independent person who led with her heart in the pursuit of what she was determined to accomplish. Her beautiful blue eyes and bright smile were ever present in her day to day life. She loved her family and friends with her whole heart and gave of herself without taking a moment to ponder. Throughout her life and health challenges she remained positive and fought to make each day all it could be. Her sense of humour and love of life lead her through many adventures of life. The legacy that she leaves behind is one of love, strength, and the importance of family.
A heart felt thank you must be extended to the caring staff of Northwood Manor and the QEII who made her final years a little bit brighter. They kept the humour and playful banter in her life on a daily basis. These wonderful people provided the best support that they could, and it was appreciated more than can be expressed.
A visitation will be held on Monday January 16th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Her memorial service will be held Tuesday January 17th at 2pm at JA Snow’s Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive Halifax. Flowers can be accepted at JA Snows Funeral Home. If you would like to donate in in remembrance of Judy, please consider ElderDog Canada, The Nova Scotia Lung Association, or a local Seniors Charity.
