

Wilson Kenneth Gerard “KG” passed away peacefully in Camp Hill Veteran’s Memorial Building, Halifax, on October 20, 2013. Born in Halifax, March 4, 1925, he was the second youngest of Gorden Ross and Mary (O’Hearn) Wilson. He received his early education in Halifax and after serving in the RCAF and British Fleet Air Arm he received his law degree from Dalhousie University. He practiced law with the firm of Wickwire MacInnes Wilson & Hallett during his whole career. He had a keen interest in most sports, in particular football, hockey, tennis, skiing, swimming, and golf. He was a member of Ashburn G.C. for 50+ years, served as Director, Secretary of the voting trust for many years and President. He always enjoyed many years his friends in the BNO Club. Ken is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie (Toogie Woodill); children Gary (Joanne Dill), Laura; grandchildren Mykayla, Jessica (Scott Macy); great-grandson Sutton; son-in-law Trevor; sister Ruth and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Vicki; brothers Donald and Gorden. I would like to thank Wenda and the NS Alzheimer’s Association for their support and classes on what to expect. Visitation & funeral will be held in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531) on Wednesday, October 23 from 6-9 pm. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 24 at 2 pm. Family interment will take place at Camphill Cemetery at a later date.
