

Halley, Kerry Fulton, of Shad Bay, passed away July 30, 2013 in the VG Site, QEII surrounded by his family. Kerry was born August 5, 1951, in Dublin Ireland. He was a son of the late Dr. Leonard J and Mary (Hodge) Halley; he was also predeceased by his brother, Leonard. Kerry is survived by his wife, Frances (Shea) Halley; son, Peter (Andrea) and grandson, Hayden, all of Dartmouth; daughter, Mary (Greg) Hansen and grandsons, Erik and Ethan, all of Brockville, ON; brothers, Edward (Judy) and John (Rose) of Dartmouth; Leonard Brewer-Halley of Queensland, Australia; sisters, Sharon (Bruce) Marryatt and Marie Halley, all of Shad Bay; many nieces and nephews. Kerry began working on the Offshire Oil Rigs on Sable Isalnd in 1972. He spent the next three decades working as a Driller, Tool Pusher and eventually Rig Superintendant on Offshore Oil Rigs all over the world. Kerry was an avid boater and fisherman and spent his leisure time touring the waters of Shad Bay and surrounding areas. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends. In keeping with Kerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, between 4-7 pm on Saturday, August 3. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to The Lung Associttion or charity of your choice.
