It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lee Stephen on October 22, 2019 at the QEII Infirmary site. Born in St. Lucia on October 29, 1975, he was the son of Marcellus Serieux and Lucretia Griffith. Growing up in St. Lucia, he was an avid soccer and cricket player and played on the Junior West Indies Cricket Team.
Working at Costco for the past 10 years he has made many friends, both co-workers and customers. He enjoyed playing soccer every Friday night with his friends from East Hants and also enjoyed coaching his children and their teammates for a time. Lee was a wonderful person with very a kind and generous heart and was willing to help anyone whenever asked.
Lee is survived by his wife Sheri (Peters) Stephen and sons Raheem (St. Lucia), Jaylen and daughter Eluda (both at home); mother, Lucretia and father, Marcellus; brothers Bryan Stephen, Glen Guiste, and Dany Stephen; sisters, Andra Serieux-Kirton, Dernia Serieux-Ellis, and Rena Serieux and several nieces and nephews. Lee was predeceased by his grandmother Eluda Stephen and stepmother Andrina Serieux.
A special thank you to all of the doctors and nurses of 5.2 ICU who tried so hard to save Lee, especially Dr. Weeks.
Visitation will be held on Nov. 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive, Halifax with a memorial service on Nov. 9 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
