Lucinda "Cindy" Marie Jessome

21 November , 19567 July , 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lucinda Marie Jessome (Cindy), of Truro N.S at the age of 62. She was a loving mother and wife. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the QE2 infirmary on July 7, 2019.

Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of Valda Joan Ivey Nugent and Robert Gregory Nugent.

Cindy had a heart of gold and feistiness that well exceeded her small stature. From the friends of her daughter who still call her “Mom”, to those she helped with no thought of return, she will be dearly missed by all.

She was pre-deceased by her parents and her step father Gerard Tobin (Toby).

She is survived by her husband Wayne and daughter Sherri-Lynn, siblings, Robert Nugent, George (Lynn) Nugent, Cathy (Steve) Semeniuk, Alma (Dennis) Murray, Donald (Connie) Nugent, Eleanor (Winston) Blackwood, Terri-Lynn Nugent (Randy), Ronnie (Chris) Dawson Nugent and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

As per her wish, there will be no funeral or wake. Instead, there will be one final “Cindy’s Party” for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to cancer research.

When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you all take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now.
She filled our lives with happiness and "many special memories" that we will carry in our hearts forever.
God Bless you & comfort you all throughout these difficult times.

Connie Nugent.

We went to Cape Breton one time, to see a play in Glace Bay and then spent the next day combing the beaches for glass. This was her happy place. So sad you have moved on my dear. I will miss you.
