

TINGLEY, Luke Stephen – 19, of Bedford, N.S. passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the I.W.K. Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Karen Tingley and Douglas Lee.
Luke will always be lovingly remembered by family and friends and girlfriend Taylor (who never left his side), as a positive, loving and grateful young man. He loved his family trips to Mexico, snowboarding, old cars, music and video games. He was extremely close to his loving niece, MacKenzie who brought him so much joy. No matter what, nothing could keep him away from his wonderful group of friends, especially his close buddy Sean.
Luke is survived by his soulmate, Taylor Brown; grandmother Caroline Goulden; sisters Erika, Candace, Meaghan, and Jennifer; brothers Brandon, Corey and Shawn; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Harry S. Goulden.
Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531 on Friday, June 17th from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Service will be held at St. Mark’s Church (the corner of Russell and Gottingen Street, Halifax), on Saturday, June 18th at 3pm, Rev. Jim Purchase officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ewings Sarcoma Foundation of Canada, or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
