

Age 91, passed away peacefully Dec 13 in Drummond Hall, Parkland Estates, Halifax. Born February 1922, in Inverness, Cape Breton, youngest child of Archie and Mary Jane Campbell. A loving mother, Margaret provided her children unwavering support and sage advice. She took great joy in her 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, regretting only that all were so far away. She had the heart and spirit of a proud Cape Bretoner and loved nothing more than a good visit and conversation. Predeceased by her parents and siblings Sadie MacIsaac, John (Shorty) Campbell, Annie Campbell, Fred Campbell, Georgina (Doddie) Timmons, and three children who died in infancy. Survived by loving husband of 58 years William (Bill), who will miss her terribly; sister Helen MacLean; daughters Anne Marie Abraham (Paul), Abu Dhabi, UAE; and Mary Bridgeo (Richard Lochead) Ottawa ON; son Paul Bridgeo (Pam), Bracebridge ON; daughter Gina Bridgeo (Andy Fogarty), Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Caroline Abraham Magwood; Anne Louise Abraham; David, Will and Ian Lochead; Jocelyn, Jenni and Gregg Bridgeo; Elizabeth, Rachael, and Fiona Fogarty; great-grandson Paul Magwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all the staff at Drummond Hall who provided such excellent care, comfort and compassion in recent years. They truly became Margaret’s friends and the family is forever grateful. Thanks also to Gladys Hutt for being a loyal friend in Mom’s last years.
Visitation on Tuesday December 17 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, December 18 at 10:30 am from St. Benedict’s Catholic Church with reception to follow.
