Margaret "Bonnie" Harrison

HARRISON Margaret Bronwen "Bonnie" age 91 yrs Halifax, passed away peacefully on 27th February. Born in Wales she was the daughter of Elizabeth and Ivor Rees Davies. She was a graduate of Swansea Training College and taught for 32 years in England, Scotland, St John’s Newfoundland, Saint John, New Brunswick and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She received her B.A. and B.Ed. degrees from Dalhousie University in 1972 Her special interests were Art and Music which proved to be of great advantage during her teaching career. After retirement she and her husband spent winters in Florida where she was a member of the St David's Welsh Society of St Petersburg and the Suncoast. She is survived by a brother Bryan; many nephews and nieces, all living in England. Her beloved husband, Kenneth predeceased her in 2011. She was also predeceased by a sister Elizabeth, "Betty" Lukawska, a brother Meirion Davies, a sister Gwyneth McDowall, and a brother, Harold Davies.

Mrs. Harrison is resting in the JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 3pm in the Garden Pavilion of Cameron Hall, Parkland, 114 Fairfax Drive, Halifax. Interment will be held at a later date in Wales.
