

Born in Halifax she was the daughter of Frank & Beryl (Foley) Stoneman.
Peggy is survived by her son Paul, Victoria and daughter Deborah, Halifax, as well as her sisters Joyce (Les Wah) and Norma, brother Jim (Mary), special friend and sister-in-law Jean Moore and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years Patrick and her brothers Frank, Bobby, Billy and sisters Joan and Sharon.
Peggy was a devoted wife and mother and for more than 30 years dedicated many hours to volunteer service in the local community including Fairview Villa, Wee Care Day Care, Parkinson Society and the Alzheimer Society. She was awarded the Caring Canadian Award in 2003 and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013.
The family would like to thank Drs. Judith MacNeill & Alex Ednie, VON nurses, Paramed Respite staff special niece Dawn and David Miller.
Cremation has taken place with a reception for family and friends to be held at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, on Wednesday October 18 from 1 to 3pm with memories shared at 2:00pm followed by a family interment at the Gates of Heaven.
