

Margaret Isaobel Keddy (Peggie), age 88 of Halifax, died February 24, 2015, in the VG Hospital. Born in Sydney, CB, she was the daughter of the late Flora Pushie. Peggie taught at Central School Sydney, the School for the Deaf in Halifax, and at Dalhousie School in Purcell’s Cove where she retired as Principal after 34 years of teaching.
She was an avid bridge player and bowler. She took up golf at age 75 and played until the fall of this past year.
She is survived by her brother, Donald Pushie (Christina) Halifax; nieces, Dianna Barrington (Edward) Ingonish, Jane Williams (Ada Smith) Halifax, Jody Doward, Toronto; nephew, Joseph Doward ( Bonnie) and grandnephew, Logan Doward. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Keddy; mother, Flora Pushie; sisters, Edna Mortimer and Lorraine Doward.
Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., 902-455-0531 on Tuesday, March 3, from 2-4 pm. A Funeral Service celebrating Peggie's life will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 4 in Calvin Presbyterian Church, 3311 Ashburn Ave with the Reverend Michael Koslowski officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will be at Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville.
