Marie "Lina" Plourde

Born on 06 December 1932 in Bathurst, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Louis Paulin and Melinda Hache.

Lina was known for her devotion to her faith. A long-time member of the Catholic Women’s League, Lina was committed to several Parishes over the years active in Choirs, Church functions, and charitable events.

A highly skilled seamstress, Lina was known for her needlepoint skills and knitting donating her crafts to church fundraisers and to the less fortunate.

Lina is survived by daughters Francine (Vincent) and Jeannette (Rick), son Paul (Shelley), 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind sisters Alberte (Richard), Marthe (Guildard), Colette (Ron) and brother Jean (Nicole).

Lina was pre-deceased by her brother Amedee (Ingrid), Sister Georgette (Adrien) and Sister Bernadette (Adebert).

Visitation will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home at 339 Lacewood Drive in Clayton Park on Thursday, January 15th from 2 to 4 PM. Funeral Mass to be held at Saint Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Clayton Park on Friday, January 16th, 2026 at 12:15 PM. Lina will be laid to rest at The Gate of Heaven in Lower Sackville NS.
