Born in Charlottetown PEI. She was the daughter of Ralph Proud and Norma (Toombs) Proud Gorvette.
Marsha lived all over Eastern Canada during her career with Merrill Lynch Canada, finally settling in Nova Scotia in 1991 where she worked for SEAMARK Asset Management Ltd. until her retirement in 2013.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Christensen, Halifax; son, Andrew Christensen, Halifax; mother, Norma (Toombs) Proud Gorvette, Charlottetown, PE; brothers, Gordon Proud (Judy), Charlottetown, PE, Donald Proud (Judith), Charlottetown, PE; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place under the care of J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. There will be no visitation or service at this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Elder Dog Canada http://www.elderdog.ca/ . The organization was key in assisting Mom with her beloved dogs over the years.
