Mary Genevieve Davies

Born in Sydney Mines, NS, she was the daughter of the late John & Christena (MacAskill, Livingstone) MacInnis.

Mom (AKA Dear, Nanny, Nanny Dave) was a great cook and baker. If you ever wanted to visit her, you had to be prepared to eat, or she would relentlessly harass you until you ate something. Even at the end she would say, “Do I have any cookies to give you?”.

Family was the most important thing in her life, always worried about everyone except herself. She never wanted to accept help for fear of being a bother or inconveniencing anyone.

We will miss you more than words can say.

She is survived by four children; Brenda (Barry) Kaiser, Arthur (Kathy Pritchard) Davies, Paul (Jane) Davies & Christine Davies. Ten grandchildren; Christopher, Ryan, Cheryl, David, Nicholas, Ashley, Stephanie, Jennifer, Jeffrey & Andrew. Nine great grandchildren; Evan, Sarah, Caiden, Emerson, Avah, Kalia, Everly, Addison & Brooklyn.

She was predeceased by her husband Trevor Edward Davies, son-in-law Kent Huestis, sisters; Maime Carmichael, Ena MacDonald, Catherine MacDougall & Marjorie Towers. Brothers; David Livingstone, A.C. MacInnis & Sandy MacInnis.

A private interment will be held for the family.
