Mary Thelma Hubley

The family of Mary “Thelma” Hubley (MacDonald) announces her passing on August 27th, 2018, in her 88th year. Born in Soldiers Cove, Cape Breton, on September 23, 1930, she was the adopted daughter and only child of the late Mary Catherine MacDonald.

Upon finishing high school, Mom went to Nova Scotia Agricultural College then on to work at Canada Packers, where she met the love of her life, Bruce. Together for 60 years they raised their family in Spryfield.

She is remembered by her children, Maureen, Carl (Deborah), Mark (Jean), Ross (Barb), and son-in-law, Gilbert Thibault; grandchildren, Emily Hubley (Andrew Ronaldson), Craig, Kerry McKeen, Ryan, Dereck (Jill) Thibault, Neil (Christina) Thibault, Tara (Steve) White, Sheena (Denley) Curl, Evan (Becky), Jessica, Jurt, and Chad; great grandchildren, Ronin, Nola, Silas, Dylan, Camden, Graeme, Cali, Caleb, Gabrielle, Remy, Linden.

Besides her mother, she was also predeceased by her husband, Bruce, and daughter, Yvonne Thibault.

Family will receive visitors 6-8 pm, Tuesday, September 4th, at J.A. Snow Funeral Home on Lacewood Dr, with a Service of Remembrance taking place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Sept 5th, also at Snows.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mom may be made to a charity of one’s choice
