Born in Lebanon he was a son of the late Mourad and Mary Azar. He was a businessman for Phoenicia Foods.
He is survived by daughters Hoda Azar, Wafa (George) Elhajj; sister Jeanette; and granddaughters Amelinda Elhajj-Pearcey, Antoinette Elhajj.
He was predeceased by his wife Amelia; brothers Milad, Yousef, Jean ‘John’, Mansour; sisters Lousia, Nabhia, and Astir.
Visitation will be held today, Monday December 21, from 7:00 – 9:00pm in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 10:30 am in Saint Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Drive, with reception to follow. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
