It is with great sadness that the family of Myrna Elaine (nee Brown) MacNeill Whitford age 71, of Bridgewater, formerly of Bedford, announce her passing on January 14, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. According to her wishes, in her own bed looking over the lake. Born in Winnipeg, MB, she was the daughter of Jean Catherine MacDougall and James Brown.
Myrna was a loving mother, an artist and an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoyed curling in recent years and ringette for many years. She was part of the NS Provincial Championship Team of 1988-89. A talented artist, she attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and has won awards for her paintings. She also taught painting for several years and enjoyed sharing her artistic gifts with her grandchildren.
