She was a lifelong hockey fan and followed the Habs and local AHL and QMJHL teams. She volunteered for many years as the treasurer of the NS Voyagers Booster Club. Her love of cooking and baking started at a young age with instruction from her grandmother, Nana Rosie. She freely shared her delicious food and recipes with all. She taught and inspired many in the family to learn how to cook and bake. Norma had a love of babies and cats. Whenever she had an opportunity to hold a baby she took it. She had a tender spot in her heart for stray cats and took in many over the years ensuring they had veterinary care and a safe loving home.
