So sad to come across this notice today. Patti and I were university class mates at Guelph where we thought we were the only ones with any fashion sense! We  shared a tiny apartment one summer making costumes at Stratford. What a magical summer that was! And obviously a career- forming one for Patti. Patti hemmed my wedding dress for me, and then we lost touch - to my great loss. As I make costumes for our local theatre, I have thought of her often and will continue to do so with great affection. 

Thinking fondly of my cousin Patti on the first anniversary of her passing.

One year on, I still can’t believe I will never laugh till I cry with you again, or just cry… on your shoulder or in your kitchen, or in the trailer…

Still thinking fondly of Patti and  her family after a year since she left.
At Christmas time a friend reached out to me to ask for a  favourite recipe that Patti had given to us.  She had lost her copy of the recipe.    We spoke a great deal about our good memories about  Patti, her home, her kitchen and her family.

I’ve stopped crying long enough to write this. Although it has been nearly 50 years since Patti and I have been in touch, she always was and remains the love of my life. I often think fondly of our times at University of Guelph, Clear Lake and her family’s home in Hoggs Hollow with Debbie, Becky, Geoff, Dr. Bain and Barbara. 
Patti made wise choices in her life and that led to success and happiness. Condolences to her family during these sad, sad times.

It was a sad day when we heard of Patti's passing. I can remember the summers at our Clear Lake cottages - the simple life - swimming, campfires and picking blueberries. Later John would play his guitar and we would all sing along. Patti with her great personality would make us all laugh with her humorous stories. If we could only turn back time. Here’s to Patti, my first real love…ok, I was only around 7 and I guess she was 14 and blind to my charms, so maybe it wasn’t meant to be. But she was as magical then as others have pointed out she became as an adult. I will always remember the great times at Camp Messyfight. You were the oldest, I was the youngest, and we and the seven Bain and Bailey kids in between were managed by my mom. Encouraging gorgeous artist friend , Patti was passionate hilarious full of fun beautiful loving kind  unique and very special. A hole has been  blown in the world. Patti is gone . May she be returned to us without delay may we see her briliant humour and enthusiasm   in the face of some hilarious big brown eyed baby because we can’t  bear it for long .
