Dear Joyce and Parnell Family
What can I say about Paddy that hasn't already been said?
The Parnells and Purcells lived next door to each other on Falkland Street for many years and through many generations. Ours lives were intertwined and we shared many special memories.
Our hearts are with you today.

I am so saddened to read of dear Paddy’s passing in today’s paper.......and my heart goes out to you all! He was a bigger than life kind of guy......and loved you all so very much!
I have been flooded with memories of years gone by when we grew up on the same block of Creighton St. , and the large Parnell family’s front steps were the gathering place on hot summer nights.
My sister, “Twinkle” and Betty were close friends, and my siblings numbered 5......so over many years there were almost always friendships going on between the families.
We all knew how glamorous Mrs. Parnell was , and that she loved her bingo, and how lucky she was....... and how you wouldn’t want to mess with hard working Mr. Parnell......and how close the Parnell family were.
And always so good natured and friendly with everyone.......Life itself was lived out in public much more back then .......and each city block seemed like it was a “ family” too, and today I am grieving with you because the young Paddy was a big part of the treasured memories I have of the past,...... he had such a big open heart .........and left a big impression on everyone he met because of it........he will not be forgotten.
My deepest sympathy to you all, his precious family.
