

It is with heavy hearts and loving memories that we announce the passing of Reginald Duncan Streeter of Halifax. He passed peacefully on November 26, 2017 and was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Born in Tuft’s Cove on July 14, 1925, he was predeceased by his parents, Henry Streeter and Sarah Elizabeth Baker; brothers, Henry and Roy; sister, Gail and grandson, Timothy. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria Beulah DeWitt and his children, Robert (Carol), Josiah “Joey” (Jane), Graham (Pam) and Gail; brother, George; sisters, Helen, Florence, Vivian, Dorothy, Barbara and Carol; eight grandchildren, and fourteen, great grandchildren.
He served with the Royal Canadian Engineers during World War II from 1944 – 1946. He rejoined in 1951 with the Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers serving in Germany, Egypt and Montreal. He returned to his home town in 1968 and worked at the HMC Dockyard and retired July 1988. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 2:00 pm under the direction of JA Snow Funeral Home on Lacewood Drive, Halifax. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the War Amps of Canada.
